The Dueling Grounds

Here's our guide Darryl clearing away foliage to reveal the
Dueling Grounds marker near the Arkansas end of the
Harahan Bridge. This bloody "field of honor" was
in use from around 1835 until shortly after
the Civil War when public disapproval
led to legislation outlawing this
method of settling disputes.
